FAQs about our Gig Space
Malones Glasgow welcomes bands and artists of all shapes and sizes to perform on our first floor. You are welcome to book the space to play a gig so long as you can bring a crowd.
We do welcome bands and musicians every night, however please note that our availability varies depending on the day and time of year. Sports fixtures may also prevent us from booking out the space.
Fridays & Saturdays are our busy nights, so availability is limited and you may need to play a fee.
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are often the easier nights to book a space.
Yes you can! We are unable to sell tickets on your behalf currently, but we are happy to post a link to any website where your tickets are available.
If we have no other events in and it is Sunday-Thursday then generally the space is free to book to perform, with the understanding that you’ll bring a crowd with you and that you’ll encourage them to purchase drinks before, during and after your performance.
On Fridays & Saturdays, there may be a booking cost or a minimum number of tickets you have to sell to book the space as we usually open the room up for our customers to sit in.
We want to support small artists who want to play a gig in Glasgow as much as we can. We can be flexible on any fees or agreements: let us know what you need, we are always open to a conversation.
No, we’re not about that. We do ask that you encourage your attendees to purchase drinks before, during and after your gig but there are no hidden fees or additional charges.
We certainly can – if you can supply us with photos, information about your act and anything potential customers need to know then we can create a page on our website linking from our popular Live Music page. This will include a link to buy tickets on your chosen platform.
Be sure to tag us in any Facebook, Instagram or TikTok content you’re creating to advertise the event and we’ll always engage and reshare where possible.
Once you have booked a gig, ask to speak our marketing team and they can liaise about options directly with you.
If there’s anything else we can do to help, just let us know and we will where we can.
We can provide a PA system, mic stands, mics, a mini drum kit and stage lights. We always recommend bringing your own equipment, including lights, where possible.
A member of our team will be on hand should you have any issues. You are also welcome to raise any questions or concerns you have beforehand, or come a few days early to check the area out for yourself.
Generally no, but on occasion there may be. We will advise you on this when you enquire.
If you have not fully sold out, then we may ask if you are happy to open your doors up to the rest of our guests.
Absolutely! Please bring any support teams that you need.
Absolutely, just let us know beforehand and we can sort this out for you. Please try to give us notice on this so that we don’t book the table out.
We are unable to provide staff to man the merch table for you.
The maximum capacity is 100 attendees when the doors to the room are closed.
We can open the doors to extend your reach to the rest of the room, making the capacity 220 people. However, not everyone will be able to see you as it’s a very long room. This is more suited to unticked events when you want to plug into our speakers and perform for any of our guests.
For gigs, we strongly recommend closing the doors to the room for a more intimate and ‘gig-like’ experience, especially if you are selling tickets.
