We cater for small and large events alike, with space for up to 550 guests, great food, and the kind of atmosphere that only Malones can deliver. We make private events feel anything but ordinary.
Private Function Room Hire in Glasgow City Centre
You bring the folk, we’ll bring the craic (and everything else your event space needs!) Any of our regular spaces can be hired as your function room for the night, with space for over 200 guests in some rooms and up to 550 people for a full venue takeover.

We are located within Glasgow City Centre and we're just up the road both Glasgow Queen Street & Glasgow Central. It's easy to get home (or to the afters - we don't judge.)

Function Room Food & drink Packages
No great party ever happened on an empty stomach or without regular drink top-ups. Our event catering options are designed to keep guests fuelled and happy, whether you’re hosting a birthday bash, corporate mixer, or festive celebration.
We offer easy buffet-style bites, including sandwiches, fries, and crowd-pleasing snacks – perfect for casual gatherings and grazing throughout your event. We can of course cater to any dietary needs.
Planning ahead? You can pre-order drinks packages including beers, wines, spirits with mixers, teas, coffees or even shots.Your guests are welcome to order additional drinks at the bar.
Our packages are flexible to match the energy of your event; just let us know what you’re looking for.
Outdoor Function Spaces
Our rooftop bar is a hidden gem in the centre of Glasgow. Surrounded by urban buildings, it’s a sun-trapped spot perfect for birthday parties, celebrations, and unique corporate events.
The space has its own HD screen for sports fixtures & event presentations. There’s also a cover that we can put over you should the weather turn.
The rooftop bar can be hired exclusively alongside the 1st floor bar, or even by itself. Just let us know when enquiring if you’re interested in the space.
Christmas Bookings Now Open
It’s early-doors, but it’s never too early to get your work Christmas do or festive friend gathering sorted. We’re officially open for Christmas enquiries.
From November through December, we’re serving up winter drinks, live music sessions, and enough festive cheer to make Santa jealous.

Function Room FAQs
Malones Glasgow is a great option for any events, including birthday parties, wedding receptions, and general celebrations. They have 3 different floors that can be exclusively hired, or you can just hire a few tables for smaller parties.
They are open late until 3am regularly, and serve food (including buffet options for larger events) daily. They can provide stages, HD screens, microphones and more for corporate events.
The feedback so far has been good! We can provide you with screens, microphones, access to a stage and more; just let us know what you need and we’ll do our best to make it happen.
We can add on buffet & drinks packages, including tea & coffee on arrival or alcoholic beverages for post-event networking.
As we have multiple spaces, your attendees can even go into public spaces as breakout zones during recesses.
We also regularly hire our spaces for work night outs, celebrations and Christmas shindigs. You are welcome to exclusively hire an area, or if you’re a smaller team you can just hire a few tables.
A deposit may be required to confirm your booking depending on the size of your event or booking. We can let you know more information about this when you enquire.
Yes you can – subject to availability, of course. We do allow rare full venue takeovers, but please note that we do need a good amount of notice on this and will require a displacement fee to confirm your booking.
Our venue can fit up to 550 people across all floors when you include the rooftop bar.
When you enquire, just let us know that you’re interested in full venue takeover and what your rough numbers are.
Of course they are. Our standard license lets under-18s join us until 8pm daily, as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
You can – please let us know that you’re doing this as soon as possible. We have live music every night, so if we’re not aware you’ve hired one then your band may arrive to a stage that’s already filled!
Equally, if you are exclusively hiring an area and want us to hire a live musician for you then just let us know. If we have enough notice then we can look into this for you.
Of course not! We allow groups of over 100 people to have exclusive use of our spaces, but you are of course more than welcome to book a table or space for any size of group. We are always happy to advise you on the best space for your event.
Yes, you absolutely can. We do not take commission on ticket sales, and depending on the event we can also help with supportive marketing. Be sure to tag us in any social media posts for reshares, and we may be able to give you a landing page on our website to drive ticket sales if you can provide artwork & information.
